So earlier this evening we had a severe storm pass through Lawrence. Nate was at school while a tornado warning was issued for douglas county- more specifically right over our house! David and I took a bunch of toys, books and pillows into the interior bathroom of the house to wait out the storm. We could hear accounts on the radio of tornado sitings that were just east of us! Luckily Nate made it home safe despite the storm and we all waited together until the storms passed.
We were very lucky.... this barn was destroyed only 2 miles southeast of us.

YAY FOR BLOGS!!! Nay for tornadoes. We got a little rain the other day! =) That's about as good as it gets here.

Holy cow, I was making fun of someone the other day because they were scared of the tornado... maybe I should be more worried, if it does that kind of damage. Glad you are safe!
Maybe the next one will suck you right out of Kansas and drop you back in AZ!!! We miss you guys and can't wait to come see you in November!!
